The Flag of Canada - Hometown Proud program is thrilled to share
these easy to use learning modules designed specifically for elementary
school students.
Professionally developed lesson plans help teachers explore the history of Canada, the community and the flag with students at all levels. Students will develop an understanding of the history and people behind the creation of our flag. Classes and students are encouraged to share thoughts and ideas of their respective hometowns, the Canadian Flag and its history by posting poetry, pictures and other art expressions to our galleries and on all forms of social media.
We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage via the Celebration and
Commemoration Program.
